Basic report for foreign investment ★Common necessary documents★

1. Copy of verification of nationality of foreigner

• Individual foreigner
  Document issued by the government of relevant country such as passport, etc.
• Foreign corporation
  Business permit, business registration certificate, corporate registry, etc.
• south koreans with permanent residency in overseas countries
  Certificate of permanent residency issued by the government of relevant country or certificate of registration of citizen residing in overseas country by the head of overseas diplomatic mission of Korea

2. Other documents to be submitted according to foreign investor

• Individual foreigner and south koreans with permanent residency in overseas countries
  Letter of consent for collection and use of personal information (for foreign direct investment related works)
• Foreign corporation
  Document for verification of the actual owner of the foreign corporation such as stockholders list, etc.

3. In the event of reporting through representative, 1 copy of power of attorney and certificate of confirmation of the real name of the assignee.

• Power of attorney needs Apostille confirmation

If it is not a member country of Apostille Treaty, substitute with the confirmation by Consulate of Korea in the relevant country after having received consular confirmation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country issuing the document.

Acquisition of stocks or stakes in domestic company, or investment in non-profit corporation

Acquisition of stocks or stakes through merger

Report types

   4. ④ Investment of dividend (cash) and acquisition of dividend stock
   5. ⑤ Conversion (exchange) of convertible (exchangeable) bond and stock depository certificate, etc. to stock

Long-term borrowing

Report types

Registration of foreign invested company

Report types

1. Apply to the initial reporting institution within 60 days of the date of occurrence of reason given below
   1. ① Completion of payment of investment, registration of capital and investment in non-profit corporation
   2. ② Settlement of payment for existing stocks, etc. (acquisition)
   3. ③ Conversion, exchange and/or taking over of convertible (exchangeable) bond and stock depository certificate into stock
